Demo onboard Mein Schiff Relax

Today we had a wonderful day onboard Mein Schiff Relax while the vessel was in port in Ålesund — the home city of Morild. We had the opportunity to demonstrate the Morild Ship & Bridge simulator system to Captain Vito Krizmanic and his officers directly on the vessel’s bridge.

For the demonstration, we simply arrived with a backpack containing a laptop and the complete simulator system. We plugged it in, started the system, and within minutes everything was up and running. It was a very practical example of one of the key strengths of Morild Ship & Bridge: a complete professional bridge simulator that can be transported and deployed wherever it is needed, without the infrastructure normally associated with full-mission simulation — even directly on a ship’s bridge.

The officers also became comfortable with the system very quickly. Within a short time, they were fully engaged in manoeuvring and operating the vessel, with their attention focused on the maritime operation itself rather than on how to operate the simulator. This is an important part of the concept: the technology should support the training and remain in the background, allowing participants to concentrate on the task at hand.

The response from the officers was very positive, and they immediately saw the potential for how the system could be utilized and deployed within their organization for professional maritime training.
